Sid Aurka

Sid graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta, after having completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. He is committed to continued professional development to expand his knowledge base and grow his practice. He intends to pursue further courses in the areas of orthopedic and manual therapy, vestibular therapy, and concussion therapy. He is currently working towards a Sports Physiotherapist certification.

He has worked with a variety of patients and is particularly interested in sports rehabilitation. His time involved with the University of Alberta wrestling team, St. Kevin’s Athletics in Melbourne, Australia, and Midget and Bantam Pandas hockey teams solidified his interest in treating athletes.

He is focused on tailoring programs and employing a holistic approach in his practice to help his patients meet their goals and return to the activities they enjoy. He likes creating balanced programs of therapeutic exercise, education, and manual therapy to provide his patients with the support needed during recovery, and for the rest of their lives.

Outside of the clinic, Sid plays cricket semi-professionally. He also competed for the University of Calgary wrestling team during his undergraduate degree. Sid enjoys being active and leading a healthy lifestyle, and promotes the same for his patients.

He is also proficient in communicating in Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu.
