Dr. Neilson was born and raised in Alberta. He attended medical school in Calgary before returning to his roots in Edmonton to complete his residency training and begin his practice.

Within Pediatric Neurology, Dr. Neilson has found a passion and enthusiasm for the field of headache. His dedication and attention on this topic brought recognition with the Ehor Gauk Award for excellence in research.

Dr. Neilson’s life away from the office is never dull with his three young children and beautiful wife.
