Heather graduated from the University of Alberta in 2018 with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy.
Since graduating, she has taken courses in Soft Tissue Release techniques, Orthopedic manual therapy Level 1, Level 2 Lower body, Vestibular Rehabilitation and Dry Needling / IMS.
Heather is able to empathize with patients dealing with acute and chronic conditions as she is aware of how it can impact the patient’s quality of life. She has specific interests in hip and knee conditions and intends to pursue further training in concussion management. One of her core beliefs is that people recover at different rates and that treatment should be individualized to meet these differences.
During her free time, Heather enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, practising yoga, xc skiing, swimming, and biking. She also likes to lose track of time with crafty hobbies such as crochet, knitting and drawing on her tablet to create gifts that her family and friends may or may not enjoy!
